Product Information
Garn:
BC Garn / Bio Balance GOTS
Material: 55 % virgin wool, 45 % cotton
Yardage: 225m/50g
Needle: 3.5 / 3.0 mm
Gauge: 24 sts = 4"
The SONYA shirt is a simple T-shirt with overcut sleeves and striking ribbed cuffs
• Sizes:
XS (S) M (L) XL (XXL
Chest measurement: 97 (102) 108 (115) 125 (135) cm
Total length: 51 (52) 54 (56) 58 (60) cm
The jumper should have a range of movement ('positive ease') of about 10 - 15 cm to the body. For example, if you have a chest measurement of 92 cm, you should knit size M.
• Yarn:
200 (200) 250 (250) 300 (350) g 'Bio Balance' from BC Garn (55 % virgin wool, 45 % cotton; LL 225 m/ 50 g),
here in colour 'Sand'.
• Needles:
circular needle 3.5 mm / 80-100 cm
circular needle 3.0 mm / 40-60 cm (for neck and sleeve cuffs), 80-100 cm (for torso cuffs)
if necessary needle set 3.0 mm (for the sleeve cuff)
The shirt is worked from top to bottom. First knit the back and form the shoulder slope using shortened rows. Then the left and right front pieces are knitted directly to the back piece. The back and front pieces are knitted in rows until the end of the armholes. Then both pieces are joined for the torso and worked in rounds. The sleeve bias is created by centred double decreases. For the cuffs, pick up stitches from the side edges of the front and back pieces and work them in rounds in a rib pattern with right interlocked stitches. Finally, pick up stitches from the neckline and also work in an interlocked rib pattern.
You can get the pattern from the designer. The matching wool is available in our shop.
